Parents & Friends Association

Mission Statement

The Parents & Friends Association at Uppingham Community College is made up of a small but active group of parents . Our primary aim is to raise funds for the school to the benefit of all our children and the PFA would like to acknowledge and thank all parents who have, in the past, helped with the various PFA events. Without your support, nothing would be possible.

The focus for monies raised by the PFA has been directed to supporting specific causes at the college. We have funded the purchase of:

Seating in the dining hall	Seating on the All weather pitch & Drama studio lighting	Picnic benches for break times

During each academic year we plan a number of events including:

Cake stalls in Uppingham Market Place, Cookery demonstrations, quiz nights and the biggest fundraiser of the year is the Summer Raffle.

In addition to holding the above events, the Committee is also keen to raise the profile of the PFA.  We are looking for parents ‘new’ and ‘old’ to spare some time and thought in helping the PFA develop and organise new events and activities for both parents and students.   Any thoughts and ideas are warmly welcomed and can be emailed to the PFA. Alternatively, if you have the time to spare, please do come along to one of the PFA meetings.

In order for the PFA to survive and be active, we need parental and student support - no matter how small!
